An Executive Team of FIRST Exploration and Petroleum Development Company Limited (“FIRST E&P”) paid a courtesy visit to the Bayelsa State Governor, His Excellency, Governor Douye Diri, on the 5th of October 2021. The team was led by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Henry Odein Ajumogobia, and the Managing Director, Mr. Ademola Adeyemi-Bero.

The purpose of the visit was to sustain and strengthen the positive relationship between Bayelsa State, where the NNPC/FIRST E&P JV operates offshore within OMLs 83 and 85, and the company.

In the remarks, FIRST E&P expressed appreciation to the Bayelsa State Government for the continuous support and positive collaboration with the organisation, which has brought tremendous benefits to the Nigerian economy.

In his response, the Governor welcomed the team and requested continuous support for the development of the state, with more collaborations. He also presented the company with a plaque to commemorate the visit.

The visit demonstrates FIRST E&P’s commitment to its strategic goal to be the ‘Most Admired Independent E&P company contributing to the well-being of Nigerians’ by creating sustainable economic value through positive collaboration with our stakeholders – the Bayelsa State Government in this instance.
